Jumping For Joy!

'Wow, Can i do it again' were Kays first words following her big jump.

'I was petrified' were Millie's 'but the craziest thing i have ever done and feel so grateful.'

We are so proud of these two lovely ladies and what they achieved on this jump, putting there own fears aside to take a leap for the Bradbury care centre and raise money.

Millie joined the team last year as our fundraising Coordinator, for those who have already met her will know she is full of life, energy and enthusiasm. She came into the roll blind and has made it her own, so when she suggested a parachute jump we just thought 'OK lets do it'. It made sense for two to jump as Twos company ect, so who better than Staff member Kay! If I remember right the conversation sort of went 'you will do it with me wont you Kay :)'

Kay has been with us since May 2021, having worked as a care assistant for most of her working career. She whizzes around the building multi tasking and making everyone else dizzy. Kay is a valuable team member and brings with her a chaotic dizziness. :)

So putting Millie with Kay to jump was obvious decision.

The adrenaline was certainly pumping on arrival at the Parachute centre, Tilstock Skydive Club. We managed to get a mini bus of Bradbury care centre supporters to the event for moral support, including centre manager Mandy. She claimed she felt more sick than Milly and Kay.

The girls went for debrief whilst our support group awaited patiently for them to emerge all geared up for the big leap for charity. Bradbury care centre team as a whole are so proud of them for doing this.

All that was left to do now was for them to jump and land safely! With the help of there superb tandem guides they experienced the ultimate thrill of a lifetime. The amazing photographer captured some memorable moments that I am sure we will all treasure.

Am update will follow soon of how much these ladies managed to raise for the Bradbury Care Centre. A big Thank you goes to all of you that sponsored them to support this great cause.
